The beta test for the new “Solidified” theme by Saiwal (Utsukta-Themes) has been running for some time now. In my view, this is a revolutionary theme for Hubzilla, one that can refute the claims that Hubzilla looks outdated and that its interface is confusing. D In terms of UX, Solidified is a real winner.
A beta test means that bugs are to be discovered through use and then fixed. I’ve been using it extensively myself and have already spotted quite a few shortcomings. Saiwal has fixed them all at record-breaking speed. And that’s despite the fact that he’s still working on a number of features that are yet to be implemented.
Beta testing doesn’t mean your hub is at risk. I’d already installed and activated it on my hubs when it was still in ‘alpha’ and haven’t noticed any side effects whatsoever.
So here’s my appeal: if you’re running a Hub with Hubzilla version >= 11.0 and <= 12.0, why not consider installing and activating the theme? It would be helpful and extremely useful if as many users as possible gave it a go, so that any remaining bugs can be fixed quickly and feature requests can be taken into account where appropriate.
